Fall classes have begun, rehearsals and choreography have begun. Our focus is how to get back into class and benefit from the early fall training.
1. Attitude is everything: Come to class ready to learn, open to correction and grateful for what you already have. So many young dancers let their attitude reduce the amount of gain they get everyday from class. Focus, work hard, apply corrections, don't be moody, and strive to be excellent. We know from experience that a dancer with a positive attitude is far more successful than a natural talent that has terrible disposition.
2. Placement is so very vital to your training. Almost, Tomorrow, Next time, Lose line, Lazy muscles are all enemies of your placement. Do not allow yourself to slack on this. Your pirouettes, jumps, extensions all depend on your placement being correct.
